Different types of food and music as well as different handicraft vendors will be part of the first spring festival.
Presented by the Knights of Columbus Council 1252 in Seymour, the event takes place on Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 11pm in the B&O Railroad parking lot behind the K of C on East Second Street in downtown Seymour.
Entry is free and the festival is open to all ages.
Just like the late summer festival in the fall, the spring festival during the COVID-19 pandemic is conducted with everyone’s health and safety in mind.

The festival committee submitted a plan to the Jackson County Health Department, which was approved. Stand workers and festival volunteers will follow local and state guidelines. The Jackson County Visitor Center also donated hand sanitizer to stations that were set up on the festival site.
12 grocery vendors will be set up in the parking lot:
- Knights of Columbus: sausages, Polish sausages and German potato salad
- Dudleytown Conservation Club: Fish rolls
- Bob and Kev’s BBQ: pulled pork, nachos and barbecue parfaits
- Mr. Beefy’s: Dinner with beef tenderloin
- Ginocchio’s: Pizza and Italian food
- Enter his dishes: french fries
- Sati Babi: Grilled pork on a stick and egg rolls
- Lazy J’s Kettle Corn: Kettle Corn
- Lot Hill Dairy Farm: Gelato
- The Rolling Pig Pin: Paninis and Whoopie Pies
- Jalapeno’s Grill: Gourmet burgers and tacos
- Schwätzer’s German restaurant: Bavarian balls, poutine and butter cake
“With so many great options, no one will be disappointed,” the K of C said in a Facebook post.
The K of C will also sell beer, wine and seltzer. No outside alcoholic beverages are permitted on the festival site.
The stage for live music will be set up at the eastern end of the parking lot.
The music program for Friday includes:
- 3 to 5 p.m .: Heather McGrath and Brad Cole (rock, blues, country and folk covers)
- 5 to 7 p.m .: Rob Daugherty (classic rock, country and pop)
- 8 to 11 p.m .: The Ertels (classic rock, pop and folk from the 70s, 80s and 90s)
Performances on Saturday are:
- 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm: Patrick Boyd and Daniel Grube (rock, pop, country and a mix that is representative of the soul of the Midwest)
- 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm: Southern Indiana Pipes and Drums (Scottish and Irish Highland bagpipe music)
- 5 to 7 p.m .: Forrest Turner (Land)
- 8 to 11 p.m .: These fine gentlemen (alternative rock and pop and rock and pop of the 90s and 2000s)

The 11 craft vendors will be set up on Indianapolis Avenue at the west end of the parking lot. they include

- Sassy Lassie Boutique: children’s clothing
- Kim Eaglen: wooden signs and hanging basket stands
- Running on faith and glitter: clothing and personalized mugs

- Amanda’s Tinytown Pyrography: Wooden Panels, Clocks, and Decor
- Laura Jo’s biscuits for children: Homemade ice cream biscuits
- Resource MFG: Employment Opportunities
- VFW: Poppy sales
- Daughters of Isabella: rummage sales
- Summer Monday (Saturday only): macrame jewelry, plant hangers and wall hangings
The festival also features children’s games with prizes and a make-up station from 2pm to 6pm on Friday and 11am to 7pm on Saturday at K of C, 118 E. The second St. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925 will occupy the games and have them too Members selling poppies at the festival.
“We are very excited to bring the community this great event where we can come together and enjoy nice weather, great shopping, fantastic food, highly anticipated live music and possibly a drink or two for adults,” said the K of C. says.
