Why does the Queen arrive in a State Bentley?

The State Bentley was presented to Her Majesty in 2002 on the occasion of her golden anniversary.

Bentley was founded in 1919 and is closely associated with the royal family. The automaker promised the Queen their first Bentley Bentayga when it launched in 2015.

The limo used at Philip’s funeral was specially designed for the royal family and is only one of two ever built.

Both cars are stored in the Royal Mews, the family’s stable collection near Buckingham Palace.

What makes the car so special?

The car has a number of unique features, including armored body and glass, and Kevlar reinforced tires to protect the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh during official visits.

The model is 83 cm longer than a standard Bentley Arnage, 25.5 cm taller and 6.8 cm wider.

It comes with a 6.75 liter V8 engine to produce 400 horsepower and a top speed of 130 mph. However, according to the BBC, it will travel at walking pace during the funeral.

The Bentley also has a mount on the roof, including the illuminated crest and a pennant, which is usually used to depict the Royal Standard on official trips.

The upholstery is made of satin lambswool and even has a tailgate design that allows the queen to stand up straight before exiting the vehicle.

How much does it cost?

According to Vanarama, the Bentley State sedan is the queen’s most expensive car.

The 2002 model is valued at £ 10,000,000.

The Queen’s second most expensive car is an Aston Martin DB6 Volante, which she bought from Prince Charles for his 21st birthday.

The 1956 car, which runs entirely on wine following the switch from gasoline to bioethanol, is valued at £ 1,000,000.
