I was born and raised in Palermo, the characterful, historic city on the north coast of Sicily. It is in a beautiful part of the island and still holds a special place in my heart. It was really fun growing up there – it was fantastic to be out in the Sicilian sun every day with friends and family. Palermo is famous for its street food, casual restaurants serving cheap food down narrow streets, and ornate architecture. A walk on the roof of the cathedral offers a magnificent view over the city.
