Dog owners were urged to keep an eye out for their pets after poisonous treats were found on several green spaces in York.
Dog Day Care Waggy Dog Creche Ltd warned that food containing antifreeze will be left behind at popular walking spots.
Areas include Tang Hall Park, Knavesmire, and Windmill Lane Woods.
Antifreeze can be fatal to dogs if only a small amount has been licked.
It can damage the kidneys and lead to death. Signs of antifreeze poisoning appear 30 minutes after ingestion.
